Kerrie started her journey with Xlent as a work placement student in 2012, and then began her role as a support worker. As Kerrie continued to grow and learn, she took on the challenge of Group Facilitator where she fostered great relationships with participants and their families. Now, as she approaches 10 years of service with Xlent, Kerrie oversees the operation of the St Marys centre as our Southern Coordinator.

A key part of this role includes facilitating meet & greet and transition days for prospective and new participants, and then working with participants and their families to ensure that Xlent is meeting their needs and goals. In addition to this, Kerrie is also a mentor and role model for many new and experienced support workers.

Kerrie holds qualifications in disability support, aged care, and home and community care, as well as additional specialised training such as catheter care and gastrostomy support. Kerrie is keen to take on further study and keep developing the skills that make her such a wonderful all-rounder.

Kerrie loves coming to work because every day is different and exciting, and she enjoys getting out and about in the community. She is also a fierce advocate for people with disability, empowering them to live meaningful lives, achieve their goals, and be the best version of themselves they can be.

We value Kerrieā€™s experience, passion and dedication, and look forward to watching her continue to thrive!
